Development Model of Catch Techniques in Pencak Silat: Evaluation and Implementation for Silat Athletes
Pencak Silat, as a traditional martial art of Indonesia, has experienced significant growth in the country. This sport requires athletes with complex physical conditions and techniques, including capture techniques that require adaptation from athletes. Therefore, this research aims to develop a capture technique model within the framework of the ADDIE Model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This study is a development research study using the ADDIE model development procedure. Participants in this study included 7 content experts for validation and 15 respondents for product testing, comprising Silat athletes from the Technical Implementation Unit of the Department of Arts, Culture, Sports and Recreation West Sumatra. The research instruments used were validation sheets and product testing respondent sheets. Data analysis techniques included descriptive, quantitative, and qualitative analysis. The research results indicate that this product, based on validation by content experts and practical experts, successfully achieved a percentage of 95.57%, indicating that the capture model is "Highly Suitable" for development. The response to the Pencak Silat Capture Technique Model Based on the 2022 Competition Regulations obtained an average percentage of 97.78% from the athletes, indicating that the product is highly suitable according to the athletes. Based on the overall media assessment, it can be concluded that, from the perspective of expert validators and athlete responses, the "Pencak Silat Capture Technique Model Based on the 2022 Competition Regulations" media can be used as a learning tool.
